Christie runs down the beach at Malibu, being chased by the four SAVAK men. She doubles back, and heads north as the men continue to chase her. 

At a neighbor’s house, a man eats breakfast on the balcony. Iced Champagne sits in a bucket. He watches the chase, puzzled. 

Christie turns back south on the beach. 

“Hey Dianne,” says the man, “come here!”

The SAVAK men pause on the beach, and remove their shoes, wallets, and wristwatches. 

Dianne and her husband continue to watch the chase from their balcony. 

One of the SAVAK men catches Christie, and the four men proceed to drag her deeper into the ocean. 

“We’d better call the police,” says the man on the balcony. 

Christie is pinned down in the surf by the four men. She struggles to breathe as the waves tumble over her. She goes underwater and no longer hears the men shouting. 

The four men leave her for dead in the water, and stagger out of the surf. 

Meanwhile, a Lincoln Continental limo heads north on the Pacific Coast Highway. 

Monsieur Melville has a pistol trained on Ed and Diana in the car. 

Back on the beach, waves wash over Christie’s inert form.
