Ed listens to Diana’s plea for help, but then shakes his head and says, “No.” 

“You did it before,” says Diana, “at the airport.” 

“I’m not sure what I did at the airport,” says Ed. 

“You saved my life,” says Diana. “They don’t know who you are. Right now, they don’t know where I am – –  just stay with me for a little while longer?”

Ed looks at her. “How do you know you can trust me?” he asks. 

“Because I know men,” Diana replies. Ed ponders what she said.
