Diana says she’s in bad straits because she has to rely on Ed for help. Ed tells her that’s hard to believe.

“You’re telling me!” says Diana. 

They walk by the open bulkhead of a soundstage. 

“Well,” says Ed, “I’ll tell you – – if you want any more help from me, I want to know what’s going on.”

Diana pauses in front of a NY brownstone set. “You want to know what’s going on?” asks Diana.

“Yes!” says Ed. 

“Alright,” she says, pointing at the steps of the brownstone set. “Have a seat.” 

“Okay,” says Ed. He sits on the brownstone steps. Diana sits next to him.

“They killed him,” says Diana. 

“Killed who?” asks Ed. 

“Hasi,” says Diana. 

“Hasi?” asks Ed. 

“In the parking lot, I – I was with him. He was waiting for me,” says Diana. “The stones were his.”

Ed stands up. “We have to get the police,” he says. 

“No, I can’t!” says Diana. “I smuggled them in.”

“What stones?” asks Ed. 

“Six perfect emeralds,” says Diana. “They’re priceless.” 

Ed ponders for a moment. “They killed this guy,” he says, “for six emeralds.”
