Ed continues to baffle Shaheen.\u00a0<\/p>

“I’m actually part of the Committee to Re-Elect the President, so I was hoping for a substantial contribution,” says Ed.\u00a0<\/p>

“You are mad!” says Shaheen.<\/p>

“Now you don’t know what to believe, do you?” says Ed. “Look – – either you’ve already lost everything, or you have to take a chance on me. Neither of us have much to lose.”<\/p>

Shaheen glares at Ed, then her female assistant whispers something in Shaheen’s ear. Shaheen stands up and leaves the room.\u00a0<\/p>

The five men standing behind Ed glare at him.\u00a0<\/p>

Ed picks up his brass teacup and drinks from it.\u00a0<\/p>

At a pay phone, Diana tries to threaten Shaheen.\u00a0<\/p>

“If he’s still there you’d better let him go if you want to see those stones alive,” stutters Diana. “Uh – again. Ever.” She hangs up and bites her lip.\u00a0<\/p>

Shaheen, puzzled, looks at her phone receiver.\u00a0<\/p>

Shaheen returns to the sitting room with Ed. She sits down.\u00a0<\/p>

The four SAVAK men sit, and all four put a piece of halvah into their mouths at the same time.\u00a0<\/p>

Shaheen looks at Ed. She waves at her male assistant, who reaches into his jacket pocket.\u00a0<\/p>

Ed looks at the assistant, wide-eyed.\u00a0<\/p>
