An LAPD officer asks Ed if they can help.

“I think you just did,” says Ed.\u00a0<\/p>

“Are you a guest at the hotel?” asks the officer.\u00a0<\/p>

“No,” says Ed. “No, I’m waiting for someone to pick me up.”<\/p>

“And who would that be?” asks the officer.\u00a0<\/p>

“Um…” says Ed, “my…wife?”<\/p>

“Are you aware, sir, that it’s almost three thirty in the morning?” asks the officer.<\/p>

“Really?” says Ed, looking at his wristwatch. “No, is it that late?”<\/p>

“May I see some identification?” asks the officer.<\/p>

Ed nods, and starts patting his jacket pockets for an ID.\u00a0

Just then, a car honk beeps. It’s Diana, in The King Lives! Cadillac, pulling up next to the patrol car.\u00a0<\/p>

Diana flashes her sunniest smile. “Is my husband giving you any trouble, Officers?”\u00a0<\/p>

In the next scene, Ed and Diana are breezing down the street in the Cadillac.\u00a0<\/p>

“Diana, this guy put a gun in my mouth!” says Ed.\u00a0<\/p>

“Are you sure he was English?” asks Diana.\u00a0<\/p>

“Now, you’ve\u00a0 never heard of this Frenchman?” asks Ed.\u00a0<\/p>

Diana shakes her head. “I don’t know a Frenchman.”

“Uh-huh,” says Ed. “Where are the stones?”

“The stones are safe,” says Diana. “It’s alright.”<\/p>

“The stones are safe,” repeats Ed. “What about us? Are we safe?”<\/p>
