Diana is finishing up her instructions to Ed on contacting Hamid. Suddenly, she remembers something.

“Oh!” she says, digging into her purse. “Wait – um, it’s private, you’ll have to show this at the door.” She takes out a business card.\u00a0<\/p>

“Jack… Caper?” asks Ed, looking at the card. “Oh, is he the one with the wife?”<\/p>

“Yeah,” says Diana. “He’s the one I can’t reach.”<\/p>

“Was that his boat?” asks Ed.\u00a0<\/p>

Diana smiles. “Yes,” she says. “Now, go on!”\u00a0<\/p>

“Okay,” says Ed, slightly shaking his head in disbelief.\u00a0<\/p>

“After I talk to Hamid, I’ll – I’ll pick you up… right here, in front of Tiffany’s,” says Diana.\u00a0

“Good,” says Ed. “Um, here’s the ticket for the car.” He hands her the parking garage receipt, then rubs his eyes.\u00a0<\/p>

“Are you okay?” asks Diana.<\/p>

“Yeah,” replies Ed, “I’m just tired.” He points toward the Wilshire Regency and walks away. Diana watches him go.<\/p>

B.B. King’s song, “Lucielle” is playing in the casino as Ed enters. He walks past a bar and dance floor, populated by men in tuxedos and women in formal gowns.
