The SAVAK agent points the gun at his mouth. 

There’s a gunshot.

Ed is splattered with blood.

The SAVAK agent’s body slides to the floor. People nearby are screaming. 

Diana, dazed and covered in blood, looks at the SAVAK agent on the floor. Ed puts his hand on her shoulder, and the two of them are hustled away by undercover police. 

A police motocade drives down 96th St. at LAX and turns south onto Airport Blvd. The motorcycles and cars pull into the parking lot of the Airport Ramada Inn.  A federal agent helps Diana and Ed out of the unmarked police car, and the two are walked toward the hotel. 

Meanwhile, Mrs Yakamura at the flower mart notices Shaheen and her assistants rummaging through the roses Diana reserved previously. 

“What are you doing?” Mrs. Yakamura shouts from her 2nd floor office.  Shaheen and her assistants ignore her, and continue to paw through the bouquets. Frustrated, Shaheen tosses a couple of bouquets out of the pile.
